1. Savannah Restaurant Week
- When: Usually in late January.
- Cost: Cost vary depending on the restaurant and the tasting.
- The Vibe: This is the best way to try restaurants in different parts of town that you might not have thought to try. With over 20 participating restaurants, the variety can be almost overwhelming!.
- Venue: Various locations, including favorites like Mint to Be Mojito and lesser known spots like Narra Tree.

2. Savannah Irish Festival
- When: Early to mid-February (Pre-St. Patrick’s Day Season).
- Cost: Approximately $20-30 for a weekend pass.
- The Vibe: This isn’t just about the beer; it’s about the heritage. Expect authentic Irish soda bread, stews, and a massive turnout for traditional step-dancing. It serves as the “soft launch” for Savannah’s massive March 17th celebration.

6. Plant Riverside District Oktoberfest
- When: Weekends in September/October.
- Cost: Free to attend; pay-as-you-go for food and boots of beer.
- The Vibe: Since the opening of the Plant Riverside District, “Oktoberfest” has moved from a makeshift River Street tent to a high-end Bavarian experience. Expect bratwurst eating contests, authentic “Oom-pah” bands, and the ever-popular Wiener Dog Races, Ceremonial Keg Tapping, and Stein Holding Contests.

7. Shalom Y’all Jewish Food Festival

9. Art & Oysters Event
- When: Late March
- Cost: Admission is $125 or $100 for Coastal Heritage Society members
- The Vibe: The event brings together some of the region’s most talented artists and highlights the historical culture of the Gullah-Geechee community of coastal Georgia. Attendees will also enjoy authentic local cuisine and lively music. All proceeds from the event directly benefit Coastal Heritage Society’s six museums and mission of education and preservation in the community.

10. Jekyll Island Shrimp & Grits Festival
- When: Early November.

- The Vibe: Though it’s about 90 minutes from downtown Savannah, this is the premier culinary event of the region. It highlights Georgia’s “Wild Red Shrimp” and features a cooking competition to crown the best shrimp and grits in the state.
