The Story Behind the "Top Thing To Do" in Savannah

Savannah Taste Experience was founded on two brothers’ love of the Hostess City and the delicious diverse food that pep up the smiles of the residents of this great foodie city. Savannah’s long rich history, beautiful architecture, amazing people, and unique lowcountry-speed-of-life made the decision to open a tour for foodies in Savannah even easier for Stu and Donald Card.

The difficulty came during the brothers’ research phase as they undertook the daunting task of narrowing down the vast, colorful, and mouthwatering flavors of Savannah to something that can be enjoyed in just one afternoon. From lowcountry favorites like fried oysters and shrimp ’n grits to a one-of-a-kind honey store to world-famous cupcakes to the last remaining restaurant serving Scottish cuisine, the task of finding the right balance of these amazing culinary delights took months of painstaking evaluation and analysis... or at least that is the legend.

The fruit of the labor of the Brothers Card are these unique tasting and cultural experiences through the picturesque squares and hidden gastronomic delights. Tour guides of Savannah Taste Experience demonstrate the same pride and passion of the Brothers Card through their courteous, exciting, and knowledgeable presentation of this culinary exploration.

Stu's travels around the U.S. and Europe have convinced him that there is no better place in the world to slow down and enjoy the finer things in life - family, food, and friends - than Savannah, Georgia.

Donald Card

Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer

Donald had an extensive and fruitful career in the media industry. As a media coordinator and broadcast operations specialist, Donald was a key-player on a select team that traveled to the Olympics in Turin, Beijing, and Vancouver, not to mention multiple Super Bowls, to manage and broadcast the events. Even the temptations of such an illustrious career could not keep Donald from the same calling as his brother: family, food, and friends.
