THE COLLINS QUARTER
This new gorgeous spot on the corner of bustling Bull and Oglethorpe has made quite a splash since opening this year, especially since Channing Tatum, Jenna Dewan, Sofia Vergara, and Joe Manganiello were spotted sharing some laughs through the window. Definitely a great place to go if you want to ease into your day, but the counter service can get you out the door quickly, too. Their coffee is from Toby’s Estate Coffee based in Brooklyn, New York, and they offer espresso, leaf teas, cold brews, pour over, and milky creations to satisfy any coffee aficionado. Their breakfast, called Breakkie here due to their Australian influence, is a creative mix of flavors bursting from super fresh ingredients. Go for the Moroccan Scramble, Red Snapper, or Leo’s Aussie Breakkie—sausage, bacon, eggs, mushrooms, baked beans, grilled tomato, and Beaufort artisan toast.

CLARY’S CAFE
Speaking of famous folks, Clary’s has served quite the cast of characters thanks to its inclusion in Savannah’s most famous book, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil by John Berendt. This breakfast and lunch dive has sloping floors, mismatched chairs, and peeling wallpaper oozing with charm and history that make it worth a visit on their own. Yet, the food deserves its own attention with favorites like Honey Pecan waffles, cheese blintzes, and Clary’s Country Omelette with warm apples, cinnamon and aged cheddar cheese. Be sure to stroll down iconic Jones Street post-breakfast to walk off those calories and take in some of Savannah’s most beautiful architecture.

ROCKS ON THE RIVER
We are head over heels in love with Rocks’ she-crab soup—after all, it’s the first bite on our highly-rated First Squares food tour!—but we also have to brag on their breakfast. Every day, they serve up four types of benedicts (during weekend brunch, they double that number), but it’s tough to beat their crispy chicken and waffles made with pink peppercorns, strawberry preserves, and boursin cheese. Weather permitting, grab a table outside and be ready to linger as you sip on their fantastic Bloody Marys made with horseradish vodka. Cheers!
