We are extremely excited to announce our new division: Micro Food Fest! These events are held in the evening and are ideal for organizations attending conferences in Savannah, corporate events, weddings, and large groups of 125+ people who want to sample cuisine from 10+ top Savannah restaurants and specialty food shops, all in one location.

The idea for these events was sparked by requests from visitors, Savannah event planners, and our partner restaurants for evening Savannah Taste Experiences. We knew our daytime food tour model wouldn’t be ideal because the restaurants are too busy, foot traffic picks up, and not all the stories and landmarks we like to discuss along the way are easily visible at night. So, we brainstormed a way to share all the wonderful, diverse food in Savannah but as a dinnertime option and came up with our Micro Food Fests.

Our first ever Micro Food Fest was held for nearly 200 lawyers attending the ACLEA (Association for Continuing Legal Education) 52nd Mid-Year Meeting in Savannah. The event took place at Southbound Brewing Company, and we had a diverse collection of Savannah restaurants represented serving up oysters, shrimp n’ grit cakes, honey pairings, shepherd’s pie, specially-seasoned apples, beer soup with fried mac ‘n cheese, chicken chops and chow chow, BBQ, pecan cheesecake, pour-over coffee, and of course, great local beer by Southbound.

We also had a “red carpet” for photo ops, live music, and some of the chefs and brewers on hand to chat with guests. We had a blast and so did our participants and partner restaurants, and we can’t wait to host more of these this year and beyond.
